Engineering Centre (IEC) is set up by Engineering
Export Promotion Council of India (EEPC), a nodal
non-profit organization under the aegis of the Ministry
of Commerce & Industry, Government of India.
The IEC, located at Mount Prospect, Illinois, is a multi
product showroom for engineering goods manufactured
in India and which also provides for warehousing,
distribution & marketing support to Indian engineering
organizations for meeting off-the-shelf deliveries to their
clients. |
 |
|
The IEC showcases high quality Indian manufactured engineering
products of Iron & Steel that are either Fabricated, Cast
or Forged and fully machined to high tolerances and meeting
the specific requirements of US and other overseas buyers
from the automobile, building construction, agricultural and
machine building industries.

A bond of confidence has already
been built between Indian manufacturers and OEMs/buyers/actual
users in the developed countries of North America, Europe
and the Far East. India has already been accepted as the
manufacturing hub of the world resulting
in more and more companies coming to India not only for
sourcing their requirements but also having their back
office in the country for monitoring production, planning
and control of offshore manufactured goods and services.
General Motors, Ford,
Volkswagen, Skoda, Honda,
Hyundai, Caterpillar, Komatsu,
IBM, Texas Instruments,
Walmart, to name a few, have satisfied
themselves on the various aspects connected with design,
quality and specifications of the goods and subsequently
established their presence, mainly for cost effective
procurement. |

community.
